Internship Program
Pickering Pacific offers internships with real responsibilities and a sense of what you would be doing as a full-time M&A analyst. We are looking for full time interns during May 2023 to August 2023.
Requirements:
• Motivated, diligent and attention to detail
• A good understanding of business fundamentals
• Basic knowledge in finance and M&A
• Previous internship experiences in corporate finance, consulting or accounting is preferred
• Applicant should either be a Singaporean/PR or non-Singaporean/non-PR with his/her own full time working permit.
Depending on our expected project mix during the internship, one or several of the internship positions offered may require performing research concerning one of the ASEAN countries or China. The relevant research may involve reading and writing the local language of that country.

Pickering Pacific’s internship programme offered me a valuable opportunity to work alongside with the firm’s multicultural team in a fast-paced, collegial and nurturing environment. As an intern, I was given real responsibilities such as industry research, expert interviews, and financial modelling for live M&A projects. Moreover, senior team members were very approachable and always willing to guide juniors in handling complex situations. Among the interns, we collaborated seamlessly with each other and gained exposure to different industry sectors. Overall, the internship was a truly rewarding experience.
The Internship Program in Pickering Pacific has given me a first-hand experience of working on prospective and live M&A deals. Because there were many deal projects going on simultaneously, I had the opportunity to be exposed to the different phases in a M&A transaction, from target sourcing, drafting of client reports, approach, to execution. I also had the privilege to attend client meetings and appointments with industry experts together with Pickering Pacific’s senior management. A unique aspect of the firm is its expertise in Southeast Asia and Greater China deals which through this internship I have acquired the market knowledge and research methodologies from. Overall, it was a good 6 months spent with them.
I interned with Pickering Pacific during the summer of 2016. There was a great amount of exposure as I was given opportunities to be involved in projects across different industries. The seniors in the team were very helpful in helping me to overcome the steep learning curve. Feedback was constantly provided to help me to improve, and suggestions to improve the internship experience were constantly asked for. Overall, the summer programme was well structured, and the culture of the firm is great. It was a short but very meaningful experience.
I chose to spend the summer of 2019 with Pickering Pacific and it was indeed a memorable experience. The firm has a strong pipeline of deals which gave me the opportunity to participate in every phase of the M&A process. Due to the wide coverage of the team, I was also able to gain extensive industry knowledge. Most importantly, it was the team’s willingness to teach, that maximized my learning. Overall, the internship programme has provided me valuable insights that gave me deeper understanding of the market.
